Sweet & Salty Smashed Brussels Sprouts
I passionately believe that veggie sides are the best part of thanksgiving (I know, crazy) but it’s because properly cooked veggies are truly the BEST!! #ad these sweet & salty smashed brussels sprouts are a prime example–thanksgiving or otherwise!
What you need

raw honey

garlic powder

pepper

salt

orange

balsamic vinegar

extra-virgin olive oil

lb brussel sprouts
Instructions
preheat oven to 425 degrees. boil a pot of salted water and carefully pour in the brussels sprouts. boil for 13 minutes, then drain the water and add the brussels to a sheet pan. use a glass jar to smash each of the brussels, making sure they are spread apart on the pan and none are overlapping. cover with the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, orange juice, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, evenly dispersing everything. place the sheet pan in the oven for about 20 minutes, until the brussels are browning, then remove from the oven and flip each of the brussels. place the sheet pan back in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until brown and very crisp. evenly top with the honey, orange zest, and pomegranate seeds, then serve!View original recipe
