Instructions
1️⃣ start by draining the water from your tofu container and wrapping the block in paper towels. place on a dish or cutting board and place a heavy item on top to press. leave for 30 minutes for best results. 2️⃣ after the tofu is pressed, slice the block into small, even cubes. add to a mixing bowl and coat with 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 2 tbsp starch of choice (arrowroot, tapioca, cornstarch). 3️⃣ transfer the coated tofu to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or airfryer pan. drizzle about a tbsp of oil and mix it around with the tofu. spread out all of the pieces and then bake on 400 degrees for 20 mins in the oven or 10 mins in the airfryer. 4️⃣ after the 20 min in the oven/10 min in the airfryer, remove and flip the tofu pieces over. bake for another 10 min in the oven and 5 min in the airfryer to finish crisping, then remove. 5️⃣ let the tofu cool down, then coat in your sauce of choice directly on the pan or in a mixing bowl. serve immediately for best results or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator!View original recipe
